We endeavor to deliver within 2-4 days of the receipt of your order, but this may vary slightly depending on courier services. If there are any issues with the delivery of your order, we will contact you directly.
If your friend has sent you an email letting you know they’ve set up a registry, the link in the email will take you directly to their registry. If you are searching on our website, you can search on their name (it doesn’t have to be their full name) or email address. If you are searching, please make sure you are purchasing from the correct gift registry.
You are not required to know or provide the gift recipients' address as you can either get it sent to their address direct (we hold these details confidentially) or get it sent to yourself to give to them personally. You can also get the gift sent to any other address in New Zealand.
For your convenience, each purchase by a guest is sent to you separately and at the time it is bought. This helps to avoid any confusion and assist in the write- up of your thank-you cards.
As soon as you’ve finished making your registry, it is available for people to browse and buy from.
If the gift is purchased online, it is removed immediately from the registry. However, if it is purchased in a store (not necessarily ours) it is the responsibility of the registry owner to update and remove the product.
An online purchase will only be taken off a registry if the checkout process is completed through a registry. To do this, select the registry you'd like to buy from, and click on Add to Cart on the item you'd like to buy. You can then complete the rest of your transaction.
Items purchased in a store or at another retailer will not automatically be removed from a registry.
No, our gift registry service can be completely set up from your home at anytime you like.
We’ve added a part to our registry for other products – this could be other products from our stores that aren’t currently available online, or something from another store. This part of the registry is a text field, so you can add anything you like, from a good night’s sleep to a new BMW! (you never know, someone might buy it for you!)
It depends how many products you want to add to your list, and whether you’ve got a list formed in your mind, or you just want to browse for it. As the list is online, and updated immediately, you can add products to your list at any time.
It is the responsibility of the registry owner to update products that are not bought on our website, including those from our stores. We don’t want to restrict anyone from buying from your list, so the same would apply if they bought the gift from another store.
You can start adding products by browsing on through our webstore for things you might want or need. You can add or delete products from your registry at any time.
After you have purchased the item via our website, the item is automatically removed. You will then receive confirmation email, and we will send the gift to the address you have stipulated.
You sure can! The only restriction is that we currently do not post overseas, so as long as your friends and family are sending the gift to a New Zealand address, you can send the registry list to anywhere in the world.
You simply need to log in to your registry and click on my registry to add or delete products. You can also update any of your details in this area.
Yes, we do need you to register, however, you can opt out of our regular mailing service at any time.
Once you’re nearing completion of your registry, you will be taken to a page that allows you to email your registry details to your family and friends. You can enter as many email addresses as you like, and can resend the email at any time by clicking through to my gift registry and following the links.
Your registry will remain active online until the expiration date you’ve chosen when you set up the registry. We will advise you via email when this date is about to come up, and you can choose to extend this or not.
Your online registry is available to search and view by anyone accessing our site, however, they will only see your name, and personal message you’d like to attach to your registry and the items you’ve chosen to add. All other details are kept confidential.
When someone purchases a registry item online, the gift will be automatically reflected on your registry as purchased once the transaction is complete.
When someone purchases a registry item in our store, they will need to advise the registry owner to take the product off the registry. This would be the same process as if items were bought at another store.
Gifts from your registry can be purchased on the Internet, in our store, or any other store of your friends and family’s choice. Internet purchases will automatically show as purchased in your registry, but other purchases will need to be managed by the gift registry owner.
Once you've created your registry, you can add and delete products and change quantities online, 24 hours a day. Your registry list can be viewed in-store by asking one of our friendly staff.

If you’ve been sent a link from a friend, that will take you directly to their gift registry for you to purchase from. If you are searching on a name, you will be shown a list of registries that are listed under that name. If you have a name that you think may be used by someone else, we would suggest putting something in the personal note field to let your friends and family know they have clicked on the correct registry. Babycity takes no responsibility for gifts purchased from incorrect registries.
You have complete access online to add, change or delete products on your registry whenever you like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply click on the my gift registry button and follow the directions for changing your registry
We advise registering three to four months before your shower or event. This allows your family and friends enough time to purchase gifts for parties, showers and special events. We will advise you when your registry is about to expire so that you can extend this if you wish.
